As Head Teacher of Brownhill Learning Community, it is my pleasure to welcome you to our unique and amazing organisation.

Brownhill Learning Community, (BLC) is a loose federation of Brownhill School and Rochdale Pupil Referral Service.

​

We are the only all age provision in Rochdale and offer a high quality education irrespective of referral reason.

Our dedicated and enthusiastic staff team aim to offer all our pupils a rich and diverse learning experience aimed at re-engaging and re-motivating the most reluctant of learners.

​

At all phases of education, we offer a broad and balanced curriculum based on the National Curriculum, with a keen emphasis on developing good literacy and numeracy skills.

The curriculum aims to prepare all our pupils for the next chapter in their lives, whether that means a return to mainstream education of onto college, post 16.

​

We place equal importance on the social development of all our pupils and use a range of alternative / vocational options to support this alongside a broad range of experiences outside the classroom, such as theatre visits, trips to seaside, equine assisted therapy, etc.
