School meals are available for all students wishing to order one. From 1st September 2021, school meals are priced at £2.40 per day
The daily menu consists of one hot meal, and a choice of salads, jackets and sandwiches, which all come with a choice of fillings. Deserts are also served every lunchtime.
If your child is eligible for free school meals, we will require proof of eligibility from the Local Authority before a free school meal can be accessed. Firstly you will need to apply via the form below, or click on the RMBC logo link to go direct and apply online. Secondly, you will need to send a copy of the confirmation letter to your son/daughter's site admin in the office to ensure you are not charged incorrectly.
If your child is not entitled to free school meals, you will need to pay for their dinners at a cost of £2.40 per day. We expect this to be paid either daily, weekly, or as a lump sum in advance of the meals being taken.
Money can be paid to any site office via cash/cheque, made payable to Brownhill School. We are currently in the process of setting up online payments for dinner money to make it easier for parents to pay for items using their bank card/PayPal.
If your child's debt reaches £20, your child's school meal privilege will be withdrawn if payment is not made, and you will have to provide them with a packed lunch until their debt is cleared in full.
If you are struggling to keep up with payments or have any other concerns relating to school meals, please contact us on (0300) 303 8384 and we will be happy to help you.
