Welcome to the Brownhill Learning Community where every student is recognised as an individual and where we aim for all to reach their potential. We believe that every child has a talent and can experience success as they develop into young adults through the supportive and caring environment we provide. 

 I would like to extend a warm welcome to our pupils, their families, the local community and wider stakeholders. Our aim via this website is to provide vital information, an insight into life at the BLC and to celebrate the amazing achievements of our pupils. 

Brownhill Learning Community is a federation of Brownhill Special School (SEMH) which caters for pupils with an Education, Health & Care Plan to support their social, emotional and mental health needs and Rochdale Pupil Referral Service. 

We offer a broad, balanced and individualised curriculum enhanced by holistic support systems that aim to ensure progress is made and positive outcomes are achieved. 

At the BLC, we encounter a wide range of daily challenges but we have a dedicated team of staff that strive to find creative and alternative methods to support our pupils and their families.
